Unity Project: June - Doing Something for Others

Dear Team Mates,

Summer is almost here!  Everything is going so fast!  Enjoy the moments if you don't want to have regrets! Did you work on your personal ritual last month?

I did it!  Look at the results!

I kept my grateful list on hand and each morning I used it to reach a high level of vibration.  I added this wonderful video that I received.......it gives me a good start.

After that, I tried to find a meditation technique that suits me.  I used a book called 8 Minute Meditation by Victor Davish.  He is offering 8 different models of meditation to try, one a week for 8 consecutive weeks.  I loved the third one where you have to be aware of each feeling you sense in your body during an 8 minute meditation.  But I did not stop there!  I continued to explore the other methods till I found an old book in my library that I had read a long time ago (there is no coincidence you know!).  This book is called Your life is your message and is written by Eknath Easwaran.  I had a flash!  A kind of "that's what I was looking for".  In this book, it was suggested to meditate each morning on a high vibratory text because we are becoming what we meditate on.  I rediscovered with great pleasure Francis of Assisi's prayer and I'm giving it to you.  Please don't stop reading because it is a religious text, you will be missing out on a marvellous one!

I made some changes to the original text.  I don't ask when I'm praying, I say thank you for receiving what I asked for.  That's my way of praying. So, here it is:

Lord, thank you for making me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.

Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console,
To be understood as to understand
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
It is in dying (to self) that we are born to eternal life
Amen

That's my daily ritual.  With it, I can start my day in a vibrational mode high enough to generate wonderful events!

This month, let us work on being more open to what others could need.  What about trying to do something for others before doing something for yourself each day, only once a day.  Don't forget yourself by doing it all day long!  Don't become a doormat!  Write on a paper what you have done each night.  That way you will remember to do it each day!  If we want to change the world for the better, we have to lead the way!

Waiting for your comments on your daily ritual and your efforts to think of others first!

Namaste
Francine
