Unity Project: February - Demonstrating Unity
Dear teammates,
It is February and it is the shortest month of the year!
This month, I will focus on practical ways to demonstrate our unity. Here are 4 suggestions, one for each week!
First week: Work on the concept of sharing and helping.
Lend a hand even if you are not assigned to the task. If you believe that you already do a lot, try to surpass yourself this week.
Share your smile: it demands so little but sometimes it might be the only ray of sunshine to someone in a whole day.
Contribute: there are many humanitarian causes. Give...the amount is not important, but the gesture tells the Universe that you are in abundance and abundance will come back to you.
Second week: Come out of your individuality.
In order to do so, we must change our way of thinking. If we want a harmonious world, we must develop a sense of belonging to All. We cannot say anymore: this is not our business...let them solve their own problems....If you witness an event, ask yourself why the Universe chose you. Ask yourself: What do I need to change in my behaviour or thinking to align myself with harmony? Each of these reflections guides us on the way to Unity.
Third week: Educate yourself.
Too often, our rejection or indifference comes from a lack of knowledge. I suggest you to go to your local library to find any book on customs and habits from other nations. You might be surprised to realize that in the end, we all have the same goal: live in peace and harmony.
Fourth week: THE most difficult suggestion to practice: no comments, criticisms or judgements.
Accustom yourself to facts only. Do not judge anyone for their mistakes and errors. Let's see the reflection of ourselves in such event. For example, it never happened to you to be so concerned about something that your lack of attention made you do something inexcusable? It doesn't make you stupid after all, right? If we accept that we, sometimes, can be imperfect too, it will be much easier to include others in a whole with ourselves. It is more difficult to criticize ourselves than to criticize others...
I would like to conclude by pointing out that February is the month of Love. Let Love be the source that inspires all the things you do this month. I wish you lots of Love...
Namaste....
Francine
